Radif
An unofficial YouTube Music app for the Mac. It has synced lyrics, a title peek at the notch, and music videos. It needs a YouTube Music Premium account. Google and YouTube have nothing to do with it.

Install
brew install --cask yuvrajangadsingh/tap/radifThen sign in with the Google account that has Premium. Other ways to install are in the GitHub repo, along with the source.
Questions
Is there an official YouTube Music app for the Mac?
No. Google's option is the web player installed as an app: open music.youtube.com in Chrome and choose Install YouTube Music from the menu. Google's help page has the steps.
Does Radif need YouTube Music Premium?
Yes. On a free account it won't play songs. It shows a Premium prompt instead of serving ads.
Why does macOS warn me when I open it?
Radif isn't signed with Apple's paid developer certificate, so macOS blocks the first open and says it could not verify the app. The Homebrew install clears that flag for you. The source is public under GPL-3.0, and the privacy page lists what it keeps on your Mac.
Radif, Kaset or the web player?
The web player is Google's own and needs nothing else. Kaset is a native Swift app that also covers regular YouTube. Radif is built with Tauri, plays songs through yt-dlp with a local cache, and has synced lyrics, a title peek at the notch and music videos.
